Biography:
Abhinav Iyer is a student at Dougherty Valley High School in the U.S. He is an aspiring biomedical researcher focused on developing unique drug targets that can transform approaches to antiviral development. In 2025, he presented the potentials of genetic motifs as a marker for rapid drug development at University of California, Los Angeles among industry professionals and a professor panel. He continued his research with Dr. Vidya Subramanaian, PhD when he applied this computational pipeline to identify new genome targets for antiviral development. He hopes this research can inform designing of antiviral drugs to target rapidly diverging viruses.
