Biography:
She is an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo, Brazil, and advises master's and doctoral students in the Biosciences and Biotechnology Graduate Program. She represented South America in 2018 JPIAMR (Joint Programming Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance) Network Call on Surveillance, served as Guest Editor for Frontiers in Microbiology and Frontiers in Veterinary Science, and has published more than 100 research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her research focuses on the genomic characterization of bacterial strains of critical WHO importance isolated from the soil-food-water interface, with emphasis on extra-hospital reservoirs and their impact to public health.
