Biography:
Manali Bajpai is a PhD student in the AcSIR-iPhD program at CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. Where, she stands for innovative, imaginative and industry-linked. Her study focuses on the detection, genomic surveillance, and molecular epidemiology of Lumpy Skin Disease Virus (LSDV) in India. In this study, tjhey have developed and implemented multiplex PCR and nanopore-based sequencing approaches for variant characterisation from field-collected dairy cattle samples. This study integrates molecular diagnostics with bioinformatics, aiming to improve rapid detection and tracking of viral evolution. She has actively contributed to collaborative research and am passionate about bridging laboratory research with real-time infectious disease management.
