Biography:
Temesgen Kassa Getahun is a young, vibrant, ambitious, motivated, responsive, and hardworking researcher who is able to work under any challenge or harsh condition. His responsibilities include project and proposal writing, data and sample collection, field and laboratory trials, demonstration and extension of research technologies, data analysis, dairy and poultry farm management, training end users, risk analysis, modeling, outbreak investigation, community service, technology extension and report writing. In addition to this, he also serve as an advisor for MSc. and DVM students from different universities in the country. He have authored and co-authored over 68 research publications, 4 manuals and over 29 active ongoing research projects registered in the Animal Health Research Directory. His main areas of research interests are emerging and re-emerging diseases, trans boundary disease, food safety, zoonotic diseases, antimicrobial resistance, one health, vector-borne disease, risk analysis, modeling, wild life, occupational diseases, herbal medicine and risk analysis.
