Biography:
Pool Marcos Carbajal holds a PhD in Sciences with a mention in Microbiology from Cayetano Heredia University of Peru, where he conducted research in the Microbial Genomics Laboratory. He also holds a Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a mention in Microbiology and Parasitology from the National University of San Marcos. He has extensive experience in molecular biology techniques, including real-time PCR, electrophoresis, sequencing, and bioinformatics, as well as clinical microbiology, with expertise in managing automated microbiology equipment. His current research focuses on bacterial resistance in hospital-acquired and community-acquired infections. He is an Associate Researcher at the Center for Research in Traditional Medicine and Pharmacology (CIMTFAR) of the San Martin de Porres University, and serves as a research professor and Head of the Molecular Biology Research Laboratory at the Peruvian Union University.
