Common pathogens associated with foodborne illnesses include Salmonella, E. coli, Campylobacter, and norovirus, often transmitted through improperly cooked or handled food, cross-contamination, or consumption of raw or undercooked animal products. Preventing foodborne illnesses requires strict adherence to food safety practices, including proper hygiene, thorough cooking, safe storage temperatures, and regular inspection of food sources to minimize the risk of contamination and ensure public health and safety.
